Are you Pure Blood, Half Blood or Muggle Born?

A Pure Blood. My family isn't evil like the Malfoys though, more like the Weasleys but without all the red hair and doesn't quite have as many members xD

Which wand chose you (what is is made of)?

(My wand already chose me) 

Owl, Cat, Toad or Rat with you?

Either an Owl or a Cat. Hard to choose....a Cat, I can snuggle with a cat :)

Where did the Sorting Hat place you?

Hufflepuff

What house did you want to be in?

As predictable as it is, either Gryfinndor or Slytherin :/ though I am warming to Hufflepuff. 

Which lessons are your favorite and least favorite?

Potions is my favourite lesson, although Professor Snape is pretty mean I find it helps me to learn and I like making potions :) 
My least favourite is divination, seeing the future is not my thing. 

The form your Patronus takes is...

I took a quiz and according to that its a Dolphin....'Your patronus takes the form of a Dolphin. A dolphin is both very playful and friendly. Like a dolphin, you are joyful, intelligent, and very funny. You enjoy life, and like to help others. You have so many happy thoughts that you can easily perform the patronus charm. Casting the charm becomes somewhat more difficult during a battle, but your concern for your friends helps you keep your focus' however according to a different one it a stag :/.

Definitely Aragog

Do you partake in any school sports or magical hobbies?

Collecting famous witches and wizards cards, and helping Hagrid look after magical creatures but not Aragog...

If you have free time, where would you be found hanging out?

Reading under a tree by the lake, as long as its not the whomping willow. Or hanging out with my friends. 

You are most likely to get detention for what?

Not being in bed when I should be, or being in the forbidden forest.

What career do you want after leaving Hogwarts?

Hmmm I don't know. I don't think I could be an Auror. I would like to work in Flourish and Blotts or write books like Gilderoy Lockhart, don't worry memory charms are not my strongest of spells!!

TMI Travel Tag

Hi all, 

Thank you to Sarah over at The Ramblings of a Mad Hatter for tagging me in her Travel tag. It has taken me way too long to finish and post this tag xD.

1. What was the last country you visited?

That would be Turkey with my sister. It was a great holiday and we even went to Kos in Greece. 

2. How many countries have you visited?

Erm.... 5, Portugal, Spain, Bulgaria, Italy and Turkey. 

3. What is your favourite place on the planet that you have been to?

Definitely Rome, I had wanted to visit it for a while and it was amazing. I wish we had stayed in a hotel closer to the centre but the hotel we stayed was really nice and a lot cheaper then ones in the centre. The buses and metro journeys were definitely an experience. The historical attractions were my favourite part :). 

4. Favourite place in your home country?

I think it would have to be Cambridge, my birth place. I love visiting there now, its always a pleasure to go. I really like going to the Fitzwilliam museum and The Sedgwick Museum of Earth Sciences, they are so great to visit again and again. 

5. If you could board a plane now, where would you go?

New York, I have always wanted to go to the city that never sleeps. I almost went during university but i didn't have enough spending money so cancelled but I will make it one day! I know I will. 

6. What's your cup of tea - Tropical island getaway, snowy ski break, or city exploring trips?

Definitely a city exploring trip hands down. I do like a relaxing sun holiday but I much prefer to explore and do things. I have never been skiing so that is out of the question and it's way too cold.  

7. What are your top 3 hand luggage must-haves?

My iPod for my music, a good book and my iPhone to take some pictures of the ground :) 

8. Any travel tips to share?

Oh god, I don't know. Make sure you look up local cultural practises to avoid disappointment. When I went to the Vatican, you couldn't have you legs showing, I had already looked this up so could easily go in. Another would be research good places to eat and explore before you go. 

9. Most embarrassing moment abroad.

I don't think I have any....the only thing I can think of is doing Karaoke in Turkey, we sang One Direction. Oh just thought of one, on the plane to Rome, I was so freaked out about take off that I cried :/ it defo wasn't as bad as I made out in my head! 

10. Biggest disappointment.

Not going to New York when I had the chance, but it would have been a crappy holiday because I didn't have enough spending money. 

11. Nicest surprise.

Does an excursion booked on holiday count? while in Turkey we booked a boat trip to Kos for the day, first time on a boat which we ok on the way there, but was horrible on the way back, I am not a fan of the motion of the ocean...

12. Three places at the tip of the travel bucket list.

New York, Egypt and Florida for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

13. Favourite food discovery. 

The Cookie Cornetto in Turkey, I must have had one almost every day that we sat by the pool at the hotel. 

14. Why do you travel?

I love exploring places and looking around historical sights. Seeing the wonders of the world would be amazing. 

15. What 3 things would you take on holiday/going travelling if you could?

My camcorder, someone who enjoys exploring and loads of money

16. Have you picked up any phrases from travelling?

Somehow I have developed the use of 'like' for everything! I know some Japanese from Japanese lessons at university. Genki Desu ka is How are you?\

17. What two places would you not go back to and why?

I haven't been anywhere I wouldn't go back to. 

18. Your dream travel companion.

It would have to be someone who likes to explore and walk around. Who doesn't mind spending all day sitting and looking at runes :) 

19. Most surreal travel moment.

oh no, I can't think of one. oh I know, the metro in Rome. On the way back to the hotel one day, the metro took was so packed, had to squeeze in avoiding the closing doors. 

20. Three people you would like to see do this tag?

I don't know anyone with a blog who hasn't done this already....

My "Me-time" Tag

Hi all, 

I have been tagged by my friend over at Genius Vs Beauty to do the "me time" tag, thanks :) Here we go. I do love a tag post :D 

1 . What do you watch or read during me-time?
Well anything Jane Austen is always included in my me time, as well as The Big Bang Theory, Merlin and Supernatural. Reading wise, I like a good Egyptian history book or a nice romance :). 

2. What do you wear during me-time?
My Harry Potter Joggers and Hogwarts Jumper of course xD 


3. What are your me-time beauty products?
I don't usually spend my me-time on beauty products, unless it's painting my nails. I would prefer to read.


4. Current favourite nail polish?
Oooo there are a few, my favourite brand right now is Barry M in a variety of colours. A few are Chilli, Watermelon, Cancun and Cobalt Blue.


5. What do you eat or drink during me-time?
Easy question! A cup of tea and a cream scone! 

6. Current favourite candle?
I don't really have a favourite. I do have a glade (i think its glade) which smells of berries which is nice. 

7. Do you ever have outdoor me-time?
Hell yea! I would be happy just laying on grass looking at the sky. In the summer I used to go to the local woods, haven't been in a while though :( 


8. Would you ever go see a movie alone?
I have already. Although when I first walk in I feel like a bit of a div, once the film starts, i'm not bothered xD. I went to see Frankenweenie, Great Expectations, Mortal Instruments and Bad Neighbours (not on the same day).

9. Favourite online shop?
It's between Amazon, TeeFury and The Jane Austen Giftshop. 


10. Anything to add? What else do you do during me-time?
I'm a huge fan of TV shows, so thats the main thing when I'm not reading. I also enjoy writing letters and short stories or just organise my lovely desk. Sometimes I play my Xbox, although that hasn't been for a while. Also, Star gaze with my telescope.

Reading Tag

Hi all,

I'm frightfully sorry I haven't written anything in a while! I just haven't been in the creative spirit :/ but I am determined to entertain you, and keep you coming back. 

I was looking through some posts on Underland to Wonderland, a blog by one of my friends, and saw this tag and thought it was interesting :) and because of my love of books had to give it go! So here it goes.

Reading by the pool in Turkey. 

Do you have a certain place for reading at home?

Usually my bed, snugly in a blanket, mainly because the TV puts me off so not in the living room. Once I move out (currently live at my mum's) I shall have a reading chair xD 

Bookmark or random piece of paper?

I have to admit I have so many bookmarks but never use them :( except with the exception of my Game of Thrones bookmark in my Game of Thrones book...I usually use a random receipt from something, that's what I had before I got my bookmark. 

Can you just stop reading or do you have to stop after a chapter or a certain number of pages?

I like to stop after a chapter but if I'm reading at work, I have to finish wherever I can to get back to work :(. 

Do you ever eat or drink when reading?

Mmmm not really, maybe have a drink nearby but not usually food. Oh unless I'm on my lunch break at work.

One book at a time or several at once?

I'm usually on one book at a time but at the minute I'm reading a book and an ebook on my phone at work. Which sadly means it's taking me ages to finish my actual book :(. 

Reading at home or everywhere?

Everywhere man! I will read anywhere any time, if it's appropriate. Like not when I'm with friends or anywhere important. Love reading in the sun :)

Reading out loud or silently in your head?

Silently in my head of course. I think people would look at me weird on the bus.....

Do you ever ahead or skip pages?

Never! Are you cray cray? Why ruin what happens? 

Breaking the spine or keeping it new? 

Personally I like to keep it new....but certain people in my household don't believe in such things and ruin my beautiful poor books :(. Oh and if it's a second hand book, I don't mind :) 

Do you ever write in books?

No way, although admittedly two of my Harry Potter books have some ridiculous scribbles from my school years. Clearly didn't care for books back then

What are you currently reading?

Currently reading the first book of the Game of Thrones series by George R R Martin. I started watching the series first so gave the books a go. As I said before I am reading an eBook too, 'The one you really want' by Jill Mansell.

The Harry Potter Tag

1. What is your favorite book?

Truthfully, I have sat here for about 10 minutes now. I cannot decide! xD I would say its between the Goblet of Fire and The Deathly Hallows. Or the Philosophers Stone. Crap pot, my Goblet of Fire copy is a little.....Damaged....

2. What is your favourite film?

It has to be the Prisoner of Azkaban! I absolutely love this film. I mean I love them all but PoA just makes me happy and always cheers me up....Wait they all do....arghhhh. I know what it is! This was the film which got my interested in Harry P. Yes I was a late fan! shush! 

3. What is your least favourite book?

Don't speak of such things! How dare you! I physically can't choose...soz. Ok, I guess it would have to be, the deathly hallows. Mainly for all the death which occurs and but there are parts I really love in that book too :/

4. What is your least favourite film?

I would say, after a lot of thinking, the Order of The Phoenix.... :( I just think this one wasn't as strong as the others, plus it had Umbridge in! blurgh! 

5. Parts of the books/ films that make you cry.

Well no.1 would have to be Dobby! cried like a baby in the book and the film! Also when Dumbledore died obviously, oh and when Fred died :( I'm always a mess when harry walks into the great hall and sees the Weasleys all crying. Also most of  the times when harry sees his parents, during the priori incantatem and when he has the resurrection stone. 

6. If you could hook up with any character, who would it be?

Definitely Ron Weasley! or maybe Draco xD when he's not being a total ass! 

7. Who is your favourite character?

That is easy! Professor Severus Snape! What a legend! (Named my cat after him! Sir Severus Socks, he is called) oh and Sirius Black and Lupin are awesome too. and Harry xD

Professor Umbridge, Lavender Brown and Mundungus Fletcher

9. What is your least favourite line?

Hmmm, tough one again. Nope i got it! When Ginny says "You can hide me up here too" in the Half Blood Prince Film. Almost every time I think, aye, I wish he would xD. 

10. What would your patronus be?

I would like to think, it would be a cat. it's my favourite animal. 

11. If you could have the Ressurection Stone, Invisibility Cloak or Elder Wand, which would it be?

No question, the invisibility cloak! The stone is wrong, doesn't actually work properly and the elder wand would be too much for me (though I wouldn't brag) xD. The cloak is much safer ;).

12. Which house would you be in? 

On Pottermore I was put into Hufflepuff. However I would like to think Gryffindor, Although I like Slytherin too xD (excited to be wearing my Slytherin top right now xD)

13. If you could meet any member of the cast, who would it be?

Daniel Radcliffe!! right now! this second!! Helena Bonham Carter and, Alan Rickman, and original Dumbledore, Richard Harris because he was a much better Dumbledore in my opinion. 

14. If you were on the quidditch team, which position would you play?

I think I would be the seeker. I doubt I would be very good at being a chaser or keeper. I would be ok as a beater I think. maybe.

15. Were you happy with the ending? 

Yea, I was. I mean, it was the typical happy ending I guess but I think after everything harry had lost. He deserved a bit of happiness. :) 

16. How much does Harry Potter mean to you?

Almost everything......Anyone mentions it and I light up. I get so attached and even after all these years? Always.

Also I am going to the Harry Potter Studio tour London again :) next week. So expect a blog post on that! :D soooooo EXCITED.
