Newcastle Film and Comic Con 2015 Part 1

Hi all, 

This weekend was the Newcastle Film and Comic Con :) I managed to get the time off work, well most of it. I had to leave early on the Sunday to get home for work but I had an amazing time. 

I have decided to do this in parts, hopefully 3 or 4. That way you won't have to spend all day reading the one post and I can tell you more about it :)

So to start off part 1, here's our selfie before we left the hotel. I am Katniss Everdeen and Nicola is Astrid from How To Train a Dragon 2 :). It has been way too long since I last saw Nicola, since the last NFCC xD 

KITT from Knight Rider, reminds me of the supernatural episode when the Trickster puts Sam into the Impala xD that was a great episode. 

Me and James Cosmo :) got his autograph (he was in Game of Thrones, Merlin and much more) 

He was a lovely guy :D

Nicola's full cosplay, was a pretty awesome cosplay :)

My full cosplay, talk about standing awkward xD I .m terrible at posing! Should have got a bow and arrow but I fail. 

Eve myles from afar xD Gwen from Torchwood and she was in Merlin too

Here is Mark Stanley who played Grenn in Game of Thrones :)

LootCrate: March

Hi all, 

I apologise for this post being late!! I've had quite a busy weekend :) which you can read all about in my Newcastle Comic Con post :).

On to this month's LootCrate :D it's theme is Covert. 

Let's start with the t-shirt, I love the design on here! Poor little James Bond was given the right drink how shocking!! xD 

 

Next we have a para cord wristband. I have seen these on the Bear Gryllis website. If in danger or in a survival situation, you can unravel the wristband and use the cord to save your life! Pretty awesome. 

This next product is epic. It's a prop replica from The Agents of Shield TV show. This seems like a well made product and good for cosplay :) 

Notebooks always come in handy :) and I really like the design of theses two. One has squares on the paper and lined paper.

Also in the crate was this stealth watch. I loved this product! You touch the button on the front and it shows the time in red numbers. 

I haven't really done mad libs before but this spy themed book looks uber fun :) will have to give it a go :) 

As usual you get a badge :) I apologise for the blurry pic :/

And lastly, an Orphan Black comic. I haven't watch the TV show but the premise sounds quite good so will definitely be reading this :) 

So that's this crate. I had cancelled my subscription but as the april's theme is Fantasy I am thinking I may get it again this month :D

Some of My Favourite Things

Let's just dive in :) 

Firstly is my Merlin book, which I believe was a 365 pic actually lol. Haven't started this as I am currently reading 'Rude Awakenings of a Jane Austen Addict' :) 

This came in new to the shop this week! had to buy, was only £1!! It is so good, got another one today xD 

Another fave this week, is my Katniss hoodie is complete. I sewed the orange ribbon around the hem of the hoodie to go under my waterproof coat. Hope this cosplay looks as good on as it does in my head xD 

Lastly this week was the Solar Eclipse!!! 

 I made a pin hole camera out of my Geek Box so I could see the sun. 

There was clouds but we were able to see it though. I got this on my digital camera. I love this shot :D.

My Geek Box: March

Hi all, 

GeekBox time again :D this months is Anniversaries and Landmarks. This month however, the designer fell ill so no magazine to explain the items :(. 

First up we have another Munny item (previously got one in last months LootCrate). This one is a Marvel one though :D you can make Wolverine or you own strange version of him xD. Can't wait to have a go! 

Next we have another Marvel item. YAY! A Iron Man Figure. Looks pretty cool and I do like Iron Man :D 

This item is not really my thing. I do like Doctor Who but only really the newer stuff. Doubt I will read this book. 

Also got some sweets :D an apple flavoured Air Heads (above) and a Spongebob Squarepants Krabby patty (below) (apologises about it not in wrapper, I opened before realising I hadn't taken a photo xD)

Also got this Doctor Who Birthday card :) wonder who I will give this to..... was tempted to do the puzzles and activities myself! 

Now, the T-shirt for this month is a brainteaser. I don't know if i'm being stupid or if the t-shirt is of something I don't know. I thought it was ghostbusters.....but what do I know!

I'm afraid this may have to be my last Geekbox for a while :( trying to save money! but hopefully will get it back in the future. Let's hope next month's isn't awesome!!

Some of my Favourite Things

Hi all,

Its been another lovely week, full of work, mysterious green doors and fun :) 

So first up is the parts I have added to my cosplay for Newcastle Comic Con :) 

As seen from my Project 365, the trousers and hoodie, the ribbon to go around the hem of the hoodie and the pin :) 

Next we have the biggest fail of the week!  On Thursday, I went all the way to Edinburgh to view a house and didn't even get past the front door! The bottom lock wouldn't open....had a lovely dark green door though xD 

This is the postcard we received from my sister who is in Sydney at the moment :) what a beautiful picture!! 

Lastly was red nose day! I did want the vampire red nose but the karate one is still pretty cool :) (this is supposed to be my karate chop face....) 

Wristband I also got :). Both from Sainsburys.

Well that was pretty much my week, hopefully we will have better luck when we go to see this place next week :/
