First Lootcrate unboxing :)

Hi all,

As I said on my December GeekBox, I have subscribed to Loot Crate. The theme is Anniversary. Now, I was a little disappointed, there wasn't as much in it as I expected :/. Oh and I made a YouTube video :) check it out!

Let's start with the pretty box :)

This is the first thing :), a Joker Batman Pop figure. Now it's pretty cool, but I'm not much of a fan of Batman, even so it will make a nice addition to my collection :). Exclusive to Loot Crate :)

Next is a paper wallet with The Simpsons characters on. I may use this but there isn't a change section it's clearly for just notes and cards. Still pretty cool how it's made though :).

Then there is a lovely vanilla scented Captain America air freshener for your car. I however don't have a car so it shall just hang in my room probably or stay in the packet xD.

These are amazing! They are dancing Groot socks from Guardians of the Galaxy. Can't wait to wear them!
This is the bottom of the sick.

Also received this snazzy Anniversary badge :)

This cool door hanger will do nicely, although with the cats we have, it wouldn't last long on my door....

The other side

This uber cute teeny tiny candy cane :)

I love this :) I have given it a go and it's actually really easy to do and they come off so easy if you make a mistake.

Lastly, they sent this Batman comic. Exclusive to Loot Crate too :) will definitely give it a go.

Here is the first thing I made with the Tetris stickers :)

This is what I put on my iPad, if you can't tell what it is :/ it's is ttp- Tanya's tea party of course :). May do the letters better but that was how they are done in the design booklet you got with the stickers :).

Well that is it, I quite liked the crate but not as awesome as I expected. Will see what the January one is like. And there are other sub boxes I have seen I want to try so will see how they go :).

Well I shall wish you a happy new year and hope next year will be awesome for you all :)

My Geekbox December

Hi all,

Time to see what is inside the last Geekbox of 2014 :). This month's theme is Geekmas, an intriguing title.
I filmed a YouTube video of the unboxing here, so check that out!

First up, is this cute Star Wars bauble :) this went on my tree almost immediately.

Here is the cookie from inside the bauble.

I absolutely love the T-shirt this month! I believe it is Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas but candy skull/day of the dead style. Its awesome.

Also got a Transformers stress ball of Optimus Prime. Very cool, dont have a need for stress balls but will still look cool on my desk :).
A Pacman bottle opener as you can see from the pic xD Can't wait to use this :D.

This was maybe one of my favourite pieces! A Chewbacca keyring which talks. Ok, so he just groans (his normal noise) but it;s still awesome!

Some pretty snazzy Death Star juggling balls. I have to admit, I can't juggle but I still had a go, check it out on my youtube video xD.

Lastly, I got a little selection box :) I do love chocolate at Christmas. Thanks Geekbox!

Also I wanted to show you my new Christmas jumper. I got this here, from BooHoo.com.

Not a bad box this time. I have also subscribed to Loot Crate :) Check it out. That will hopefully turn up soon, so check back for whats inside :). It ships to the UK, it cost $29.95 a month.

Well until next time,

Jane Austen Day

Hi all,

Indulge your imagination in every possible flight.” —Pride and Prejudice (1813)

On this wonderful day in 1775, 239 years ago, Jane Austen was born. In 1811, Sense and Sensibility was published. I will not list all of her books, but my favourite is her second book in 1813. Pride and Prejudice of course! (I must admit I haven't read any of her books. I know so shameful! but I do own them all, I just need to find the time to read them!)
"I do not want people to be very agreeable, as it saves me the trouble of liking them a great deal.” — Personal correspondence
I found this quote here and loved it immediately, check it out if you want to see more quotes or tips for a successful life.

I wanted to write a blog post just to celebrate her really. I have fell in love with how she writes her stories and how immediately I want to be there, experiencing it all with the characters, even the characters I dislike xD.

"There are as many forms of love as there are moments in time.” — Personal correspondence

If you are a fan of Jane Austen I highly recommend the Jane Austen gift shop, mentioned in a previous post.  It would be an idea to visit the Jane Austen Centre in Bath, visit the website for more info. I would love to go there :) they have an annual Festival and even a quiz to test yourself! lets go for it...uh oh I got 3/10....in my defence I only know 3 of her books. I have yet to even know the stories of Mansfield Park, Persuasion and Northanger Abbey...Really need to get on that....

The more I know of the world, the more I am convinced that I shall never see a man whom I can really love. I require so much!” —Sense and Sensibility (1811)

So True xD
Just joined the Jane Austen community xD I'm way to cool for this blog!

Well I better ofskie pop, got things to do you know ;)

OH OH OH If you were wondering about my new blog look...and you know you were....It was lovingly designed by my friend Danielle from Underland to Wonderland. Check out her blog, for amazing photography and awesome adventures :).

It's been a while

Hi all,

I have been soooo bad recently with posts. It is diabolical. I think its the month of December that does it, I just get so lazy. I have been up to so much as well, I went Christmas shopping and ice skating in Edinburgh, me and my sister stayed in the cutest victorian style B&B! It was epic! I had my work Christmas meal, which was eventful :/ ended up singing karaoke! Also hoping to get this months Geekbox soon :).

So a quick catch up, we shall begin with Edinburgh.

Ice Skating
Nothing better then a nice warm alcoholic drink after some ice skating xD

 B&B Stairs
 Awesome bedside table
Tea making facilities! A dream come true.
Met this lovely chap :)

That night we went to see The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1. OMG IT WAS SO GOOD! LOL the size of that drink was insane xD

There we are the basics of the weekend. Did some shopping, skated, went to the cinema, then went to the christmas market the second day. Boy was it busy.
Oh, if you wondered about the B&B, it was the A-Haven Townhouse. Have a look here. It was lovely and not too far from the centre, only a 10 minute tops bus ride :D. The breakfast was also super yummy, unfortunately I didn't take a pic as was too excited xD. I would definitely recommend, the owners were lovely and it just felt so homely. I could actually live there xD oh and the beds were like heaven. They were so soft and comfy, I could have slept there all day. It was a shame we were only there for one night.

Now, in other news. Almost finished my Christmas shopping :) (haven't send any cards! drat). I do love Christmas, although, I'm not feeling as excited as I usually am by now :? it will happen soon hopefully. could be because this year has gone so fast that it doesn't feel like it should be Christmas yet....or usually I travel home for Christmas but as I have been living at my mums for the past year, I am already there. So the excitement isn't as big...I don't know really.

The work meal was good though. Again I didn't take photos! Gutted isn't even the word, guess I must have been having too much fun xD. I do have a pic of my nails though.

Heads up, the other hand isn't as good. The other snowman had a very bulbous nose xD. oh and I put gold glitter nail varnish on the thumbs.

Well there we go, other then work, I haven't done much else.
Is everyone ready for Christmas? let me know :)

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Sir Severus Socks turns 3

I'm Hi all,

Today is a special day for my dear cats. You may think this is sad but I love my cat dearly and its his birthday so he deserves a pressie :).

Socks and Maggie

1/12/11 our cat Sparky gave birth to 3 beautiful kittens. We kept two of them and gave one away to a family we knew. I chose to have one of the kittens but as I was at University at the time, he stayed at my mums house.

AWW! Socks and his brother ^^

Teeny Tiny Socks

Me and Socks

Not sure how old he is here

Here are the birthday cats. Magpie at the back and Socks at front.

A few years back, as sad as it sounds I knighted Socks (with a pen) xD and so he could be a Sir. I am just that cool and generous.

I got them a cat tunnel and some denta bites by Whiskas.

Here they playing in their tunnel getting treats. Bless them!!

Even sparky got involved :D

Caterpillar Cat

I am a definate cat person, I love my cat dearly.

Hope you enjoyed my pics :)

Papertoy Monster Calendar: December

Hi all,

So here we are, finally in December. Which means, sadly the last monster of the year. Hope do hope you have enjoyed the monsters every month. I shall be beginning a 365, photo a day post at the beginning of 2015. I have seen a few people do this and would love to give it a go, so look out for that on 1st Jan 2015.

Now on with the monster. I have to admit, I was disappointed with the December one. You would think it would at least be Christmas themed right? well think again.....

As you can see.... this monster isn't quite was I expected from the 12th month monster. Looking back, most of the monsters have been good but this one has ruined it a bit for me :(.

Here's him on his background, a cool one but not quite the festive feel or even winter feel.....

Full calendar shot

Here's the description

Well there you have it, the 12th and last monster of 2014. I have had fun doing these posts, it was good to have something regular on my blog so definitely on the look out for other cool calendars or regular ideas. If anyone can think of things I can do in the new year or even start now, give me a shout, would love to hear some ideas :).

Little extra ;)
Birthday boy is intrigued by the monster :)
Until next time
