Christmas

Hi all,

This year has blown past so fast, it's insane how quick time passes.

However this year at christmas hasn't felt very christmassy at all. Probably to do with the fact that we have moved so close to christmas  and am unable to get home until christmas eve due to having to work. I was living with my sister and we put the christmas tree up extra early on 30 november, it was fun! We had christmas songs on the go and there was tinsel everywhere. Even christmas stickers on the window.

Here is our beautiful tree!

It made the room just feel so warm.


Unfortunately because we moved, we had to take down the tree! It was so heartbreaking! Now it doesn't feel like christmas at all. Hopefully once I get home, it will be more real.

I even got these decorations from poundland that you make yourself. It was fun to make something for christmas, even if it was childish! xD This was mine, My sister made one of santa :D








I have to admit, I am excited to move back to the north east but it has been so good here. We actually made some friends just as we were leaving and the people I work with are so great! A new year, a new place though! Hopefully the new year will be filled with magic and dreams coming true.

Here is the crew, on the last night out! was a mint night. There was a snow party in the only bar in town xD 

I will genuinely miss this place but I will return to visit and keep in touch with my mates.

In a galaxy far far way

Hi all,

I know it has been a while since I posted anything! I have been so busy around christmas! I can't believe it is almost christmas already! Its insane!

I took a trip to cambridge this weekend to do a little christmas shopping, and I got the beat leggings ever!! I thought I had to tell you all about them! 

These STAR WARS leggings were from H&M for only £12.99 :) as soon as I saw them, I had to have them!

All Hallows Eve

Hi all,

I'm not sure what to put in this post. I just feel like I should make a Halloween post because it's one of my favorite times of the year! I love spooky things.

Unfortunately I don't have much planned for this Halloween :( however I am making a Halloween cake (which I will post on here) and watching Nightmare on Elm Street at the cinema. The original by the way!

A Charmed Realm Indeed

HELLO!

Take your minds back to July this year. I discovered on Facebook I believe that Paul Kidby was doing a kickstarter project. This interested me as I have been a fan ever since I saw 'The Art Of Discworld' in high school. I believe it was 'The Wee Free Men' book by Terry Prachett was the first time I had seen discworld art and it really helped me to imagine what the wee free men looked like, even though Terry Prachett's description was amazing. lol!

Anywho back to July and the Kickstarter! I went to kickstarter to peruse what he had to offer and discovered it was an art book! OMG I was so excited! He wanted to make a book he had published in french already, as an english book. All I could say was TAKE MY MONEY! I decided to give £20 as this got me a copy of the book, a bookmark and a personalised card :) (with these projects, you get rewards/prizes for the amount you give) This was enough for me :D.

As the project went on he surpassed his pledge by over £20.000, so he started to add things onto the rewards. Along with the book, bookmark and card, I was also going to receive a folio of prints! I was even more excited! They were bloody beautiful!

I;m gonna put up some pics of his work just so you can appreciate his awesome :D

First pumpkin of the year

Hi all,

So Halloween, I love this time of year, Autumn is just setting in. The nights are darker quicker, the bitter taste of frost and wind whip across your face wherever you go and the sweet temptation to eat everything that is warm and tastes like gingerbread. This is the time of year when all the Christmas stuff is in the shops, calling to you to buy them, the lonely poor decorations yearning to be free and hung up for Christmas spirit. But don't be fooled it is not Christmas yet! They will have to stay in the shop won't they!

ENOUGH ABOUT CHRISTMAS! This is about Halloween. So I carved my first pumpkin last night. Many designs flew through my mind as I  cut open the top of its head and ripped out the poor things insides. But I couldn't settle on an idea. I like to give pumpkins faces so they can be my friends................Pretend you didn't read that............I don't make friends with my pumpkins.............oh dear dear pumpkin. (I haven't named him yet)

Anyway to the pumpkin shenanigans...I drew a lovely design of a castle and a face popping into shot, however the pumpkin was far too small for my epic design, It's a little pumpkin you see, and because pen doesn't rub off a pumpkins skin I merely turned over the pumpkin so no one could see my mistake :P.

Ok so, I started to carve my pumpkin, everything was going well. I carved the eyes, putting to my own eyes and shouting "They took my eyes!", and began the mouth shaped hole. However.....this is a big however however. (lol that wasn't a mistake, I meant 2 howevers there<<) I cut off the 'fangs'. SHIT. It's ok, I will make the mouth bigger......SHIT I did it again!! He now has one fang.....The pumpkin is always a man!

To get through this I wept a little. Then came up the genius idea to use a mechanical pencil lead to attach the missing fang.....I AM A GENIUS!!

The face is finished and looking FABULOUS! So I decide to two tone this mother. I create a moon like circle around his head, craters and all. Except it doesn't look like  moon......oh well xD

So you wanna this this glamorous pumpkin huh? I know you do because it is amaze balls. It is the most sophisticated, stylish and excited pumpkin you will ever see!!

Well here it is.....Get ready.....(even through you have probably already had a glimpse) BOOM!!

BzzAgent Review: Tesco Finest Ecuadorian Chocolate

Hi all,

Today I received a lovely little package from BzzAgent. Inside held a very nice suprise, some tesco finest chocolate.

I received 2 different chocolate bars, a 32% milk chocolate and a 72% dark chocolate.

I will admit, I wasn't looking forward to the dark chocolate because I'm not too keen on this chocolate anyway.

Ok, so time to try these wonders. Me and my sister decide to try the dark chocy first.

Here it is in full glory :) 

I liked the packaging for this product. It's easy to reseal to save the chocolate for another time :). So this chocolate.....well it didn't really suit my taste, it was very bitter. Although I could taste the 'notes of green tea' which it claims to have on the outside package. I wouldn't buy this again plainly because dark chocolate isn't for me. My sisters opinion was that it was nice but too bitter and too dark for her. 

Next was the milk chocy :D

Now this one was yummy! Again I really liked the packaging and there was a lot of information on the chocolate on both bars. The taste of this bar was much better for me, it was very milky and creamy which is my fave :D Also like the dark, the milk bar claimed it had 'rich toffee notes' which was definitely accurate. I really did enjoy this one :D. My sisters opinion was that it was a lovely blend of milk chocolate and enjoyed the toffee notes.

So overall, the milk for me was much better but I suppose that depends on what your taste is. Some may prefer the dark bar. I would definitely recommend this chocolate to people, whichever taste they prefer. 

The RRP for these are £1.50 each. OR if you want to pop to tesco before 5th Nov you can purchase them 2 for £2. (offer found online so not sure if instore too)

Pretty Nail Designs

Hi all,

So I thought I would share some of my designs I've done recently on my nails.

I shall begin with a little design from a last week? was it last week? or a few weeks? hmmm.....well anyway.

Here is the first design I did. I like purple, oh sorry Plum, it is the colour of mystery and.....wisdom. 

Well not really, I don't think.... Anywho I was going to do polka dots but half way through I thought it looked cool by stopping half way across the nail. I used lovely Barry M Gelly nail varnish in 'Plum' and the Barry M White nail pen for the dots. I absolutely love these pens! They are a god send!! 

Don't forget to use a base coat and top coat or the troll in your garden will come and get you, by pouring nail varnish remover in your face and hair!! (you have been warned)

Yesterday, once I had finished tidying my tower dungeon, I felt like a change nail wise. The plum was still holding pretty strong and hadn't chipped much which is great :D. 

Anywho back on topic, tower dungeon, mine has a very homey feel. I like to keep it fresh and it has a heater because it can be quite damp in there. It is covered in pictures of friends and purple things, you can find my tower dungeon in the magical meadow of..........Wait.....what am I doing? what if someone tries to steal my things and take the tower as there own?!! 

Lets pretend that never happened!! 

Right back to yesterday! As it is almost halloween! ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^

I wanted to make a halloween themed nail design, however that did not pan out.....

I shall do one of them next week :)

For now here is my other design

This is quite plain but cute. I used Beauty UK red nail varnish and the black Barry M nail pen. As this picture is a bit poo, I shall describe what I have done. It has secret unicorns and rainbows hidden in the.....no that's a lie....Its just dots in the arrangement of flowers. One 6 petal flower and one 5 petal flower on each finger. This is pretty simple but beware when doing the flowers on your right hand, or left hand if you are left handed, or if you can use both hands then WELL DONE! I praise you! 

Don't forget the base and top coat. :-3 you know what will happen...

(Rides off on a magical golden unicorn) (because I said it was gold....they don't have to be white. That's what my unicorn said) (in my head)

My Adventures

Hi all, 

I hope everyone is doing wellio :) I haven't done much on my blog recently, probably mainly because I don't do much these days! I lead a sad sad life! 

Anywho, I thought I would do a post about a few things I have done recently. So let's begin a while back.....

It was a brisk day, me and my sister ventured out to the bus station to embark on an epic journey across borders and underground to find our way to good ol' London town (imagine me staying that in old timey london language  - Lundun tauwn) :). Here, we came across a little place I like to call heaven......The platform 9 3/4 shop at kings cross!!!! It was AWESOME!! 

Here I purchased a magical hoodie, keyring and postcard which I shall use to barter my way to Hogwarts very soon!

After this ever so heart racing and exciting adventure, we went on the london eye, visited Big Ben and cycled to buckingham palace, I have always wanted to visit the Queen's quarters xD 

London was awesome and it's so magic and big, I could get lost in it's wonder......Literally.....but thank god we didn't and made it back to the shire.....by shire I meant Cambridgeshire (said like the 'shire'.....well in my head at least...).

Hmmm what else have I done?? Well I purchased some handsome socks last time I was in Primark, 

 Aww Yea! Sulley socks! They are so comfortable, and fluffy!!!! 

So my next change was my hair, I decided to re cut in my FRINGE, I say FRINGE because it is a big fringe xD (See below). 

See! told you. After this we went on another journey to Cambridge town (said like the London town above) so my sister could acquire the latest smartphone by a little company that I like (also something you can eat in a pie) (or a crumble) (or as slices) (it has pips in) (and grows on trees) well if you didn't get the company name after that then you suck, badly! While in this strange place we also purchased some crepes! 

YUM!! mine was milk chocolate and banana! 

My sister's was nutella, banana and cream. YUM also.

Here I am nomming down on my crepe! It was sooooooo good. 

Ok if you have made it this far, well done you. I thank you for your loyal reading and shall buy you a jug of mead. (ok I won't really, but I do love you. Isn't that enough!!)

Ok this post is longer than I set out for but I know you like to read my ramblings. Right? Left? up? right? right.  Well last pic.

Ok you caught me! It was more of a walk....my body fails! We came across a magic bridge in the magic woods we were in. I swear a troll was going to jump up and stop us from crossing! But the magic map lead us here on our way to mordor.....

Destiel Video

So I have been busy tonight making a lovely video. I recently watched The Great Gatsby, and one of the songs on it - Young and beautiful by Lana del ray, really caught....my ear?? Anyway, after listening to this song over and over, it made me think of Dean and Castiel form Supernatural. 

So I made this video! I don't own the song or the footage used. I just wanted to make something cool :)

My New Venture

Hi all,

So sorry I have been absent for so long, if i'm honest I haven't really been doing much. :/

This post is to let you know that I have decided to make a new blog where I will post some stories I have written. I have been lost recently with what I want to do and writing has become a hobby of mine. They will be either short stories or just parts of a story. There isn't a theme for all the stories, I want to write a few different genres and see what happens.

Don't worry I will still be writing on this blog and my youtube videos will still happen. You will just have more to read.

Lifeless days...

Hi all, 

So my life hasn't exactly been the most exciting recently, my days at the minute usually contain staring at walls, watching friends (tv show) and doing anything to amuse myself. 

I had a very pleasant trip to tesco today, I do love that shop :D they had a sale section with loads of stationary. I got a few things... :D 

I found a really cute pencil sharpener! (top pic) its shaped like a mouse, the best part was that it was 50p! 

I also found a monsters university 10 colour pen which was £1.50

And a small A5 notebook by Oxford. This was only £1. 

I love stationary so much!

Another awesome thing I got was a pretzel! 

I have had the salted ones before which were nice but a bit too salty. I finally went when they had the plain ones in stock :D 

I'm pretty impressed with this pretzel, I could eat these alllll the time. Now I know why americans eat these so much, they are yum yum yummy! 

Recently I have been doing a lot more videos for youtube, I may start to do videos every day :) But I sometimes have trouble thinking of videos to make. So if anyone has any suggestions, feel free to let me know :D 

Well I best go back to doing nothing, I think a movie is in order.

Harry Potter Invites

Hi all,

So I thought I would do a blog post on some invites I made last year. So lets go back to last year, I am turning 21 and need a theme for my party. Now back then I was (and still am) a huge Harry Potter fan, so what better way to celebrate my 21st Birthday then to have a Harry Potter party!

I wanted to send out invites but the ones online were either not right or were too expensive. So, me being a design student, thought what the hell I will make my own.

I began by looking up what the Hogwarts acceptance letter looked like, I thought this would be a great idea to use as the invites :D

I decided that this was definitely what I wanted to do. So I began by looking up pictures of parchment on google until I found the one I wanted.

Looking back, this is actually a little too light for my liking :/. Anywho, I then found the Hogwarts crest on google and the writing from the letter as a guideline. Another thing that made this a lot better is that I googled Minerva Mcgonagalls signature for the bottom, this really added to the invite! 

So this is the final letter! The editing of the signature is awful! :/ anyway I was very pleased with the end result. 

I also added a few other things in the envelope :D 

Every Hogwarts letter isn't complete without the second page! 

And of course the ticket to Hogwarts of course :D This I found on google.

I was so pleased with the invites I made and all my friends were so excited to receive a letter from Hogwarts ;)

 And here is a group shot at the party, I was of course Harry Potter :D Everyone did so great with costumes!

American Nails

Hi all,

I have done a lovely nail design, and thought I would share it with you all :)

I began by painting my nails with a base coat. Then I painted all my nails red except my ring finger, That one I painted blue. Once they were dry, I used white to apply the stripes and stars. For the thumb, I added a blue square to the corner and added the white.

I really enjoyed doing this design and love how it turned out. Except for doing my right hand, because my left hand can not paint nails very well.

You can see the difference between the two hands here ^^

Collection 2000 Mascara Review

Hi all,

How are you all on this glorious day?

I am here to give you another review on a mascara, I believe I mentioned this in my lambrini cherry review.

I got this mascara with the lambrini Bzzagent kit. The Collection 2000 Big fake.

I liked this mascara, it was easy to apply and looked good. The packaging it also pretty, u'm a sucker for red! oh and it has one hell of a big wand....

Here is the eye without it, ( please ignore the pastyness.....:/ the lighting was terrible...)

You can definitely see a difference once the mascara is on. I did expect more of a change but it kind of does its job. Also the lighting makes it look a lot better xD)

Well that was my short and sweet review, I hope this helps you in future mascara shopping......
